HELIUS^TM MICROWAVE GENERATORS

The Series Helius microwave power systems are specifically designed for continuous operation in industrial plasma process and heating applications. Standard microwave power systems are available from 1,200 watts to 6,000 watts.

These systems provide precise process control — even in the varying environment of plasma processes. Rugged microwave power components are used to ensure reliability during 100% duty-cycle operation. A high current switch mode DC power module provides all necessary support power.

The HV/Control section is housed in a self-contained, compact 19" wide rack mount enclosure. The magnetron head is mounted remotely near the applicator and connected via a protected, 10 foot long cable set. Options include a watertight cable set, isolator/detector diode module and an enclosure design that allows the DC section and the magnetron head to be mounted in a single NEMA enclosure.

Continuous monitoring of critical operating parameters enables the system to protect itself in the event of load mismatch and process arc downs. The system’s control circuitry offers fine control resolution of +/- 1% around the set point.

External user interface connections enable the Helius to be controlled via the user’s PLC or host computer. Optional interfaces such as RS232 & Device Net are available. Local operation is available through the use of internal control panel.
