RF Power Attenuators

These modules are used when the RF power signal needs to be reduced in a 50 ohm circuit. The excess power is dissipated as heat energy. Typically used when a higher power RF generator (i.e., 300 watts) is used in an application that requires 30 watts. A 10dB attenuator is used to reduce the effective output power by a factor of 10 enabling a high control resolution in between 0 and 30 watts. Another application may be to slightly attenuate one or more outputs of a passive power divider to correct for hardware or process variations.
